MESA, AZ, August 8, 2018 — Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Dr. Chris A. Lockwood with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. A highly esteemed management consultant and educator, Dr. Lockwood currently serves as emeritus associate professor of management at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He joined Northern Arizona University in 1987 as a faculty member before earning his current post in 2011. From 1994 to 1997, Dr. Lockwood served as director of the university’s Master of Business Administration program, and from 2007 to 2011 as the management area coordinator.

On the undergraduate level, Dr. Lockwood’s teaching responsibilities include strategic management, human resource management, leadership, organizational behavior, task group dynamics and sustainability management. Likewise, on the graduate level, he also teaches organization assessment and organization theory.

Dr. Lockwood earned a Bachelor of General Studies from the Chaminade University of Honolulu as well as a Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Philosophy in management from Arizona State University in Tempe. Prior to earning his degrees, Dr. Lockwood enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1964 to 1980, when he was honorably discharged as an electronics technician chief petty officer.

A prolific writer on topics in his field, Dr. Lockwood is the co-author of two books, “Making Measurement Work” and “Top Management Game,” and over 30 professional journal articles and refereed and published proceedings papers. He has, additionally, acted as a reviewer for several professional journals, and presented a number of workshops and presentations in his field. Dr. Lockwood has served as a member of the Arizona Governor’s Advisory Council on Quality and as a judge for the Arizona Governor’s Award for Quality.

Dr. Lockwood is a member of the Academy of Management, the American Society for Quality, and the Academy of Educational Leadership, which awarded him the Distinguished Research Award in 2009. In light of his exceptional undertakings, Dr. Lockwood was selected for inclusion in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, the seventh edition of Who’s Who in American Education and the 35th edition of Who’s Who in Finance and Business.
